I am currently doing my PhD in Neuroscience in the lab of Konrad Kording, at Northwestern University (in Chicago). I arrived here in January 2009 and I have been trying to understand how people make decisions that involve uncertainty, and how the brain represents this uncertainty. I am a Biologist from the Science Faculty of the University of Lisbon, and also did a Masters in Mathematics applied to the Biological Sciences (still in Portugal). Afterwards, I entered the Champalimaud International Neuroscience PhD program, when it first open (aka decided to be a guinea pig). In the program, we could decide where to do our PhD program, and I chose Chicago, which I love:) I just started being involved with PAPS activities, and I’m excited to learn and do more!
