With the participation of H. E. Pedro Moitinho de Almeida, Ambassador of Portugal to Canada, the Hon. Chris Bentley, Ontario’s Minister of Energy and Eng. Ricardo Pinto, in representation of the Secretary of State for Energy, The Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business & Professionals (FPCBP) and Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD), present their 1st Spring Conference: Mining Sector in Portugal – Investment and Financing (Monday, March 5, 2012, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Trinity College - Seeley Hall, 6 Hoskin Avenue, Toronto). The conference will also include presentations by Canadian mining companies with current exploration projects in Portugal and counts on the High Patronage of H. E. the Ambassador of Portugal to Canada and the collaboration of the Consulate General of Portugal, AICEP Portugal Global – Trade & Investment Agency, as well as the Portuguese Directorate General for Energy and Geology.

No último 19 de Novembro, dez membros do núcleo de Toronto reuniram-se num restaurante português para um convívio que contou com algumas caras novas. Houve oportunidade de discutir algumas ideias para a organização do Fórum da PAPS de 2012, que terá lugar em Toronto na próxima Primavera. Falou-se também do impacto que a actual situação financeira de Portugal está a ter nas oportunidades profissionais que permitam o regresso de alguns de nós à Pátria.
