What brought you to the USA? The desire to make my PhD abroad at a top research university.
In what are you currently working on? International reserves accumulation in emerging countries, financial development.
What conditions do you have here that you do not have in Portugal? The chance to learn from the best professors in the field (some Nobel laureates) and to work with students and faculty from all over the world.
What are your future plans? Work as an assistant professor or as a researcher in a think- tank.
Why did you join PAPS? I like PAPS’ mission and wanted to connect with the Portuguese post-graduate community in the US.
