The XIII edition of the annual PAPS Forum will be taking place at the University of Toronto (Canada) on the 14-15th of April.
The theme of this year's Forum is "A Portuguese Renaissance - a decade of scientific and cultural growth". We aim to look back over the past decade and discuss the progress Portugal has made across many different areas including science, technology and culture. We want your contribution to this important discussion, not only so that we might look back to our recent past, but also so that we might together chart future directions.
We look forward to welcoming you to Toronto !
Travel Expenses Support
Only the first 50 Regular Members asking for support will receive it. This support will be given on a first come first serve basis, so we urge you to register as soon as possible. At present time, 17 members have asked for travel support.
PAPS executive committee decided to open one of Forum’s sessions to all members and we will call this session PAPS ‘Ignite Session’. This session will last 60 minutes in total and for that reason we have a limited number of slots. We invite submission of abstracts for a quick 5 minute oral presentation followed by a couple audience questions. Abstracts that address member’s recent cutting edge research are especially encouraged and will have priority in the meeting programme, but submissions may address any aspect of social, exact and life sciences as well as arts.
Abstracts must be written in English. The whole submission must fit in a single page and needs to be organized as follows: Porposal Title, Author Name/s, Author Affiliations, Abstract Text, Presenting Author and Contact Details. Please send your abstracts/proposals to João Canning Clode (jclode at gmail.com) before April 1st.
