Texas retains top ranking in high-tech business

High-tech business is the fastest growing segment of the US economy. California and Texas are the number 1 and number 2 states, respectively, by most indicators.
In 2008, Texas (the Lone Star State) has maintained its Nº 2 nationwide ranking in technology jobs, second to California and ahead of New York.
The Texas high-technology sector continues to make job creation gains, according to a national report released on April 2008, the Cyberstates 2008 study: An Overview of the High-technology Industry in the Nation's Top 60 Cities.
